Lobster boat weathers the storm

Yup. That’s my name on Bruce’s boat. We drove through sunny skies to Portland to catch a flight out to Baltimore. Since we had the extra time, we stopped first in Trenton, where Bruce’s boat is hauled out for the winter. He shoveled about 18″from the deck.

We weren’t sure if our flight would be on time. It was full with people who were stranded yesterday. But the Air Tran experience was a good one. They allowed us to change our tickets twice, at no extra charge, due to the storm. Even though the plane was full, we left on time and arrived in Baltimore a few minutes early. Just in time to have Robin and Stephanie pick us up to go straight to the theater. “Jersey Boys” at the Hippodrome. Oh what a night!

  1. My mom’s name was Barbara Ann. She died from uterine cancer 5 yrs ago at age 67, and not a day passes without me thinking of and missing her, so seeing your boat brought a big smile to my face. Tell your hubby he did a great job naming that boat!

And we thought we were at a good connection with just Barb! I’m honored to have the same name as your mom. It sounds like you were close.

I see David’s boat right behind Bruce’s. He went off-island with me this morning and probably just got done shoveling.

Barb, have you tried writing blog entries in advance and scheduling them to post when you want them to? Works great.

It was nice to see David’s boat right there, too. I should write some things in advance. Its a good idea. But it seems no matter what I’m going to do, I always wait until the very last minute to do it!

I missed Joan Baez’ and Janis Joplin’s birthdays by a week, so I’ve already set up Judy Collins to post. May 1st, a minute past midnight. Yeah, she’s still got it.
