Bruce and I went off island on the 11:30 boat to meet friends for lunch to celebrate the birthday of our friend Helen.
The 3:30 boat, canceled yesterday due to high winds, was running today. It was a bit of a rough trip home, compounded by an extra stop to drop off workers on a wave-washed float at Sutton Island.
By 4 p.m. the wind picked up, the temperature dropped, and the sun made a beautiful retreat from the day.
I am getting seasick just looking at the water………..I could never live on an island. I get seasick in a hammock.

There was definitely a section of the ride you would not have liked! I get seasick in swings at the playground now. What’s up with that?

I could never live away from the water but that said, I don’t like the mixture of water and cold temperatures. I’m a total cold weather wuss. But, it does look gorgeous!
