LOVELY! i’d like to get a closer look at that unusual silver bead 4 pics up from here….is it draped and carved? and the one that looks like pearls and baby jellybeans…..that’s very appealing to me!
xoxo
That silver bead is one I made after a workshop with Fred. It is a lentil bead with the end cut off. The parts that look carved are actually imbedded edges of other lentils that broke. Scraps pushed down in and pushed up from underneath. It’s kind of a funky sampler of some things I was trying out.
Happy last day of school to you!
Each piece is lovely! I REALLY like the blue and black bracelet with what appears to be braided leather…that is so classy!!! What a showpiece for the arm!
Thanks Patti. It is memory wire threaded through braided leather. I saw the idea on a guest post by Lynn Ferro on the Love My Art Jewelry blog. http://lovemyartjewelry.blogspot.com/2012/04/guest-post-lynn-ferro.html
She was quite open about where she bought her leather cord, and taking someone’s idea and putting your own spin on it so I gave the idea a try.
Is that really a bracelet? I just thought it was another necklace, presented differently. It’s really pretty.
I also really like the necklace that’s 3d from the top, and the earrings just below the bracelet.
So, if the blue is actually a bracelet, what is the piece 2nd from the bottom? It doesn’t have what I recognize as a hook….
Oooooh! Number two! And the second to the last one – -and all the others too for that matter, but I love number two. I will own one of your pieces yet! :)
Blue one is awesome!

Love your work but was wondering where do you get your drill bite for your rocks and beack glass ?

Thanks. I buy my drill bits from Rio Grande.

Hi Sally,
The second one from the bottom is a lariat. It can be tied loosely or doubled with the ends going through the loop.

Thanks Sue! First batch in a while without any of your beads in it. I’ll have to remedy that!
