38th Annual Island Arts Association Holiday Fair

Come on down to Bar Harbor on Friday or Saturday and feast your eyes at this fun fair. There really is something for everyone here. I love seeing so many of my old friends whether they need to buy jewelry or are just stopping by to see if I remembered to stock up on the holiday wrapped Reese’s Peanut Butter Cups.

Where: Atlantic Oceanside (used to be Atlantic Oaks)        119 Eden Street      Bar Harbor

When: Friday, November 30th.  9 a.m. to 5 p.m.    and    Saturday, December 1st. 9 a.m. to 3 p.m.

Free admission. Food sales benefit heating costs at the YWCA in Bar Harbor.

Here are a few of the pieces I’ll be putting out tomorrow:

(Gotta remember to pick up peanut butter cups….)

  1. Your jewelry keeps getting prettier and prettier! Wish I was there…
Hey, we’re renting a house this summer on Fernald Point Road in SW harbor… any relation to you? Does your husband have history on the island?

    • Barb Fernald

Thanks Lisa. Some distant relation probably. Around here, when people ask, I say I’m related to the Islesford Fernalds instead of the Somesville Fernalds!

Do those earrings come with the peanut butter cups? Everything looks sooooooo beautiful Barb. Wish we could make it up and see it all in person. Hope it goes well for you. Hope all is well. Love to Bruce. Xo,Al

Hi Al! The peanut butter cups only come with the jewelry if I get a chance to stop at Hannaford’s on my way in to set up.
How’s it going in breadland west?

  4. Oh my….that first necklace is an absolute stunner! Everything is beautiful…it is 6:45 AM and I am craving peanut butter cups…this can’t be good! Best of luck to you!

Thanks Patti! It was a very good show. It’s almost all local people and it’s such a good time. I managed to only eat 2 peanut butter cups in two days!! Very unusual for this chocolate fiend!

Beautiful Barb..may see you there tomorrow. Good luck!

  6. Hi Barb,
So much fun to be able to see all the beautiful work you are creating! Inspiring! Especially love the bead with the three little silver seeds nestled in it. It was good to hear from you! Not much time for needle felting these days but the loon and duck we made with you are still in their canoe enjoying life! Wish we could all come to the Fair! Hope it goes well…say a big hi to Bruce.
