Center for Maine Craft: Annual Mother’s Day SALE!
May 4-12th

The Center’s Annual Mother’s Day Sale will be back bigger and better.  Purchase a unique handmade gift this year for your one and only Mother, Mommy, Mama or Mum.

It just so happens I am heading through there tomorrow on my way to Portland for a birthday celebration. Mine! The big 60! And I am pretty darn excited about it.  Before I celebrate, though, I’ll be dropping some necklaces off at the Center for Maine Craft. Here are some of the pieces that will be there by early afternoon:

  2. Enjoy a great celebration….your pieces here are lovely.

  3. Love everything about that first piece, but especially how you fit the cap to the focal. Can you share what the stone is?

    • Sure, Gale. The stone is a beach rock I found near my home in Maine. It is flat, and looks like a round piece that has had about a third if it cut right off the edge. I just found it that way. What looks like a bead cap on it, is actually a handmade bead that sits next to it. I made a saucer bead from Precious Metal Clay, cut it in half, and placed a flat piece of clay across the cut area to close off the hollow bead. The texture is on two of the three sides.
