Not just another foggy Saturday night

We’ve now seen the sun for two days in a row. Highly unusual this spring, and a welcome break the cold wet weekend. Despite the cold and fog on Saturday, people wandered down to the Town Dock around 6:30;  drawn by warm sounds, reminiscent of an evening the Caribbean.

The  Sunbeam was in.

And people were listening…

…to the energetic music of  Planet Pan, a steel drum band comprised of  high school students from the Blue Hill area.

Two seals even came by to see what was going on, but I was a split second too slow with my camera.

Sounds like a great weekend, and so neat about the band..playing right on the deck of the Sunbeam. Cool. Having a real gully washer right now. Chris is in San Fran…Yosemite by now with H and Peter. I’m chillin’. xo

It was really cool having the band right there next to the dock. The steel platform of the Sunbeam made the steel drums sound even better.
I went to Bangor with Karen to do some shopping. Off on the 6:30 boat and home on the 4:30. That was a long day! Off again Friday to take Mom to the eye doctor. Have fun chillen’!
